Working With Salman Khan Is A Task, Says Director Ali Abbas Zafar

Working With Salman Khan Is A Task

With two repeated 300 Crore films, Ali Abbas Zafar has occurred as one of the prominent Indian Filmmaker. He is the only Indian Director with two entries in 300 Crore Club while Salman Khan is the only Indian Actor with three entries in the colossal 300 Crore club. Ali and Salman have earlier worked in Sultan (2016) which collected 300 Crore at the box office and their fresh entrance is Tiger Zinda Hai (2017) which is still running efficaciously. The movie has grossed over 335 Crore.

Ogling their godsend at the box office, Ali and Salman will collaborate once again for their 2019 EID release ‘Bharat’. Currently, Salman Khan is shooting for his 2018 EID release Race 3 and once he is done with the release he will kick off the preparation for Bharat. Bharat will be produced by Atul Agnihotri who is Salman’s brother in law and Bhushan Kumar.

Bharat is an official adaption of South Korean film ‘Ode to my Father’. The film will have Salman Khan in five different looks. In an interview with Indian Express, Ali Abbas Zafar said that genre of Bharat is totally different and he is excited about it.

He said “I’m more workaholic, work drives me the most. I’m very excited to jump into Bharat because that’s something I’ve never done before. It’s a very different genre. I can’t even put it in the bracket of any genre it falls. it’s a beautiful story, a very human story, again it’s a very contemporary story on the question it raises. So all these things are making me excited to start to work and jump into it again. And that’s what I’m looking forward to”. Ali told to the leading daily.

On working with Salman Khan again he said “Fortunately till now I have not had any bad encounters with my actors. All my Actos have loved me, I have loved all my actors. However, directing Salman Khan is a task. I won’t say it has been easy. I just feel he has been very supportive, his maturity as an actor shows in my work. We work really well together only because I think we very honest share things with each other. Sometimes, he outrightly tells me a thing which kind of raises a doubt in my head and that question makes me more confident when I’m directing. When someone with so much experience puts a doubt in your head, you only become stronger”, said the filmmaker.

The leading lady opposite Salman Khan in Bharat is yet to finalize. However, director Ali would love to cast Katrina Kaif in Bharat.
