MS Dhoni is a surefire legend who has constantly won immense tournaments like 2007 & 2011 World Cup and Champions Trophy. He has been undoubtedly the greatest Cricket Captain for India and the finest finisher in the history of Indian Cricket. His strength to hit the ball is unparalleled. He has been an abundant leader for youngsters and an intellectual escort for bowlers. No one dares to come around him with when the wicket-keeping techniques are concerned. But the batman MS Dhoni is missing for a quite few time. Though MS Dhoni justified his asset in IPL 2018 but his method of batting was missing at the International format.

Dhoni has struggled to deliver runs in the England Tour, Asia Cup, and West Indies Tour. Meanwhile, he was rested for the T20 series against West Indies and Australia. Now he has returned to the side to play the upcoming three matches ODI series against host Australia.

Dhoni is going to be the most observed player since India is in somber need of him. The vice-captain Rohit Sharma in a press conference ahead of the ODI series spoke on Dhoni’s vital role in the team.

“Over the years we have seen what sort of presence he (MS Dhoni) has in the dressing room and on the field. With him being around there’s a sense of calmness in the group which is very important and also a bit of help as well to the captain because he stands behind the stumps and he has captained India for so many years. He has been such a successful captain for India.”

“So he being around with the team is always helpful. He is like a guiding light around the group. I think also with the bat batting down the order getting us through the finishing line is very, very important,” Rohit told the media on Thursday.

The team for World Cup 2019 is not yet obvious. But this is how it may look in the future. Of course, there will be few changes but most of the players from present ODI team will play World Cup in England.
