Pulwama Attacks BCCI Likely To Ask ICC To Boycott Pakistan From 2019 World Cup

With India’s current situation getting tensed with each day, authorities have proposed to ban Pakistan from 2019 World Cup in England. India and Pakistan are slated to play on 16 June 2019 at Old Trafford in Manchester. However, it is learned that the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) is planning to write to the International Cricket Council (ICC) to keep the Pakistan team out from all the World Cup matches.

As per a report, the Committee of Administrators (CoA) Chairman Vinod Rai on Tuesday asked BCCI CEO Rahul Johri to write a letter to the ICC requesting to boycott Pakistan from the World Cup for harbouring terrorists.

On 14 February, at least 40 CRPF (Central Reserve Police Force) were killed in a brutal terrorist attack in Pulwama district. India is not willing to get regale any cricketing ties with Pakistan.

Noted cricketers Sourav Ganguly and Harbhajan Singh have already called to boycott the clash with Pakistan at the World Cup.

The World Cup 2019 will kick-off in England and Wales from May 30th.
