Priyadarshan’s shocking statement on Aamir Khan not winning National Film Award

The 64th National Film Awards were held yesterday and Akshay Kumar won the Award for Best Actor (Rustom). But the spectators doesn’t seem to be pleased with Akshay’s triumph as they sense Aamir Khan was far better than him in Dangal. Conversing about this, Filmmaker Priyadarshan who is a major element of National Film Awards had a shocking reaction. In an interview with Mumbai Mirror, Priyadarshan stated that “Aamir Khan recently said that he wouldn’t personally accept the award if he is given one. If I remember, Aamir didn’t attend the ceremony when he won the award for Taare Zameen Paar (The film bagged Best Film on Family Welfare in 2008). So, why spoit it for some other actor who stood as good a chance of winning the award”.

Aamir Khan has been acknowledged with several awards for his unparalleled enthusiasm in Dangal. Apart from all this, Sonam Kapoor bagged the award for Best Film (Neerja) and Amitabh Bachchan’s PINK won the award for Best Social Film.
