MS Dhoni Posts A Heartening Message After Receiving The Glorious Padma Bhushan

The Former Indian Cricket Team Captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni was honored with the glorious Padma Bhushan (India’s third highest civilian award) by President of India, Shri Ram Nath Kovind. The Star Cricketer wore an army uniform and marched past the dignitaries present at the Rashtrapati Bhavan in Delhi. MS Dhoni was conferred the honorary rank of Lieutenant Colonel on November 1, 2011, after he won the 2011 ICC Cricket World Cup.

Coincidentally, MS was honored with Padma Bhushan after seven years he won the 2011 World Cup for India. On 2 April 2011, Mahendra Singh Dhoni won the ICC Cricket World Cup at Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai. He is the only Captain in World who has won all the three ICC Tournaments, 2007 T20 World Cup, 2011 World Cup and 2013 Champions Trophy.

After Kapil Dev, MS Dhoni is second Indian Cricketer to be honored with Padma Bhushan. Dhoni is already the recipient of Rajiv Gandhi Khel Ratna Award in 2007 and Padma Shri in 2009 (India’s fourth highest civilian award).
