Is The Younger Generation A Threat For Salman Khan? Here’s What The Actor Wants To Say

Is The Younger Generation A Threat For Salman Khan Here's What The Actor Wants To Say

He is undeniably India’s leading superstar whose film fluently earns over 100-200 Crore within a week of release. No one in the film fraternity can dare to compete with Salman Khan especially when box office numbers are concerned. Salman Khan is monarch of the box office holding record of maximum 100, 200 and 300 Crore films. He is indisputably a liege of Bollywood and we see no competitor around him. But the Actor has something dissimilar to say.

According to Salman Khan, the newcomers are so good in their work that he has to work hard to match up with them.

“When I started out in the late 1980s, I looked up to my seniors in the industry and wondered if we would ever be able to match the stardom of Dilip Kumar, Rajesh Khanna, and Amitabh Bachchan. It seemed impossible at the time. Today, I think keeping up with the juniors and their fan-following is ten times harder. None of us older stars are letting go of anything easily, and we’re going to give the younger ones a hard time, but it’s not easy”.

“I’m working harder because the newcomers are so good at what they do. Actors my age can’t be complacent about our physique, films, and acting,” he said Mumbai Mirror.

Salman Khan also stated that he sees himself in Varun Dhawan and he has been working really hard. “He has grown up in front of me and has some of me, Sanjay Dutt and Govinda in him and he has imbibed only our good qualities,” he said.

Salman Khan starring Race 3 is set to release on 15 June.
