Finally! Ranbir Kapoor to shoot jail sequence for Sanjay Dutt’s biopic

Following the grand success of Ae Dil Hai Mushkil, now Ranbir Kapoor is all set to bring another striking film in 2017. The actor will be seen as Sanjay Dutt in his upcoming biopic. Ranbir Kapoor is putting his soul and heart in his film and we are pretty much sure he will nail the role of Dutt. We earlier revealed to you that Ranbir Kapoor has gained 13kilos to look beefy like Sanjay Dutt. Also, he was spotted wearing a wig to resemble Dutt’s 90’s look. Meanwhile, after completing some shooting sequences in Mumbai now the actor has flown to Bhopal to shoot the jail sequence. Ranbir Kapoor will be in Bhopal for a week and he will spend most of his time in a jail. He will be shooting in a genuine jail, which is no longer used for prisoners.

Though Sanjay Dutt’s life story is not hidden from everyone but watching it on-screen is a different thing. We have seen him spending his life in jail, but we haven’t seen his struggle behind it. During his jail term, his family has faced a lot of trouble and no one is aware about it. Also, the film will showcase the journey of Sanjay Dutt’s father Sunil Dutt. According to Sanjay Dutt, his father played an important role in his life and he helped him out in any problem. Sanjay Dutt personally demanded to the makers that his father’s role need to be played by a skilled actor.

Sanjay Dutt’s biopic film also stars Dia Mirza as Maanyata Dutt. Dia Mirza will be seen playing Sanjay Dutt’s current wife Maanyata. It also stars Sonam Kapoor in a guest appearance for 7-8 minutes. Though her role will be short but she will be playing a key role in the film. Ranbir Kapoor’s Ae Dil Hai Mushkil co-star Anushka Sharma will be seen as a journalist in the film. Last but not the least, Veteran actor Paresh Rawal will essay the role of Sunil Dutt. Paresh Rawal is one of the most versatile actor and according to filmmakers he is the best pick for Sanjay Dutt’s father role.

The film will be directed by Sanjay Dutt’s close friend and ace filmmaker Rajkumar Hirani. The film shooting has just begun and it is slated to release in Christmas 2017 beside Salman Khan’s film Ek Tha Tiger. Salman Khan and Sanjay Dutt are good friends and we hope there will be no possibility of a box-office clash between them.
