Dia Mirza Agrees That Sajid Khan Was Obnoxious, Sexist And Ridiculous

Following the allegations of sexual harassment against him, Sajid Khan has stepped down from the post of Housefull 4 director. A journalist, an actress, and an assistant director have accused the filmmaker of sexual harassment amid the #MeToo moment in India.

In his defense Sajid Khan on Friday issued a statement and said “in the wake of the allegations against me & the pressure being put on my family, my producer and the stars of my film Housefull 4, I must take the moral responsibility of stepping down from my directional post, till the time I can allay the allegations and prove the truth…I request my friends in the media to kindly not pass judgment till the truth is out.”

Now it’s popular Actress Dia Mirza who says she isn’t surprised by the allegations against Sajid Khan. In a conversation with India Today, she said “I was deeply disturbed. I agree that Sajid was obnoxious, sexist and ridiculous. Even for me, the details of these accounts are beyond shocking. I have personally always have had a radar for such people. I have never invested in a relationship with such people even in the workplace.”

She added, “We often brush off certain kind of behavior. But I wouldn’t have imagined that Sajid could be capable of doing this to do a woman. I completely understand the shock people are feeling right now, but it would be unfair to say that the names that are coming out is shocking.”

Dia Mirza did a cameo appearance in Sajid’s film Hey Baby. Farhad Samji who co-directed Houseful 3 has replaced Sajid Khan as the director of the fourth installment.
