The BCCI (Board of Control for Cricket In India) has announced several new contracts for Team India Players. The Board has also introduced some new rules.

Here are all the categories and name of Team India Players existing in each category

Category A+: Virat Kohli, Rohit Sharma, Shikhar Dhawan, Jasprit Bumrah and Bhuvneshwar Kumar

Category A: MS Dhoni, Ajinkya Rahane, Ravindra Jadeja, Ravichandran Ashwin, Murali Vijay, Cheteshwar Pujara and Wriddhiman Saha.

Category B: KL Rahul, Hardik Pandya, Umesh Yadav, Kuldeep Yadav, Yuzvendra Chahal, Ishant Sharma and Dinesh Karthik.

Category C: Kedar Jadhav, Manish Pandey, Axar Patel, Karun Nair, Suresh Raina, Parthiv Patel and Jayant Yadav.

Fees Structure for all the Categories

Period: October 2017 to September 2018

Category A+: 7 Crore

Category A: 5 Crore

Category B: 3 Crore

Category C: 1 Crore

Now you guys must be wondering why legend and star player like MS Dhoni isn’t in A+ category, well there is a valid reason for it.

Why MS Dhoni Is Getting Less Paid Than Virat

The latest A+ category is introduced by none other than former Captain MS Dhoni and current Captain Virat Kohli. The A+ category would have only players who play all three formats and players who are in Top 10 rankings.

Now since Dhoni has retired from Test Cricket, he was happy to get a pay cut and give a fair sum to those who deserve it.
