As Simmba Earns A Blockbuster Status, Rohit Shetty Credits All His Life Success To This Bollywood Actor

Rohit Shetty is absolutely the dominating director at the ticket window. His latest directional venture ‘Simmba’ has transpired as an all-time blockbuster. Released on 28 December, Shetty’s Simmba has earned over 190 Crore at the domestic box office. The movie will momentarily enter the 200 Crore club beating lifetime collection of Golmaal Again (2017) and Chennai Express (2013) which are directed by him.

Simmba is also second highest grossing film for Ranveer Singh. The Actor justified his role to faultlessness and of course Ajay Devgn’s roaring entry is the best bit in the movie. Rohit has earlier directed cop series ‘Singham’ with Ajay Devgn. So it was unanticipated when the director announced his next cop movie with Ranveer Singh as fans were waiting for the third part of Singham. However, in a recent interview with DNA, Rohit Shetty clarified that for him nobody can replace Ajay Devgn.

No one can take Ajay’s place. He’s been a great support system to me. Whatever I’m today is because of him. Other than that, I’m working with a lot of people and making new friends. Ranveer is like a younger brother. But Ajay will always be special. It’s not about the kind of performer or the star that he is, it’s not a comparison between two stars or heroes. He is like my elder brother and that can never change, he said.”

Simmba also starred Akshay Kumar in an ending cameo appearance. It hinted the much-awaited collaboration between Akshay and the director. Talking about their upcoming movie titled ‘Sooryavanshi”, Rohit said, “Yes. We will finalise the script shortly. We’re working on another instalment of Golmaal and planning something else too. I’m juggling with three-four things. I will direct one while the rest will be our production.”
