Aamir Khan Takes Full Responsibility For Thugs Of Hindostan Failure, Extends A Sincere Apology To All His Fans

Before its huge release, Thugs of Hindostan stood as a highly anticipated movie starring the two legends Aamir Khan and Amitabh Bachchan. The movie created a lot buzz and opened to the biggest opening ever for a Hindi film.

Inappropriately the movie bombed at the box office and received undesirable criticisms. Thugs of Hindostan is made on a monstrous budget of 250-300 Crore and was estimated to gross over 400 Crore at the Indian box office. However, the movie has wrapped up under 150 Crore with the flop tag. This is obviously not Aamir Khan’s substance since he is habituated of giving classy blockbuster films.

In an interview, he said, “I take full responsibility for Thugs of Hindostan not working with the audience. I think we went wrong but I would like to take full responsibility for that. You can be sure we tried our level best. Few people loved the film and appreciated it. We would like to thank them. But they come in minority. But people were mostly disappointed with the film and I regret it.”

Thugs of Hindostan recorded the highest day collection for any movie. The movie collected 52 Crore on Day 1 which states that people came with high expectations and left dissatisfied. He added,

“And I want to thank the audiences who came in large number with huge expectations. This time I couldn’t deliver matching their expectations. I feel very bad that we were not able to entertain them.”

Hits and flops are part of the game but no actor has ever come forward and accepted his mistake when their film failed. But Aamir Khan is a gem. He has come forward and willingly accepted his mistake and took the full responsibility for Thugs of Hindostan failure.
