39* Runs Off 22 Balls, 2 Stumping, 2 Catches And Last Ball Six, MS Dhoni Was Star Of 1st T20 Against Sri Lanka

Dhoni was his best in yesterday’s match

How often you have seen MS Dhoni coming on 4th position and playing freely without any burden. Well this is very rare as he usually walks in after 4-5 wickets down. In the 1st T20 against Sri Lanka MS Dhoni walked in at 4th position and that initiative by management team paid off. MS was not out for 39 runs in just 22 balls. And of course the last ball six made the crowd chant Dhoni Dhoni Dhoni!

Sri Lanka won the toss and decided to field. India had a good start as KL Rahul stood long and made 61 runs off 48 balls. Rohit Sharma gave away his wicket earlier. In the last five overs, MS Dhoni and Manish Pandey batted really very well and brought 65 runs. MS Dhoni made 39* runs off 22 balls and Pandey 32* runs in 18 balls. India scored a giant 180 runs as the defending score.

Sri Lanka was looking tough to chase down but miserably they collapsed giving all the wickets and India had the biggest T20 win by 93 runs. Wrist-spin twins Yuzevendra Chahal and Kuldeep Yadav took 6 wickets while Pandya was in for the last overs and took 3 wickets.

However it’s Mahi who was the star of last match as he passed ABD Villiers’s record of most dismissal in T20. ABD had 72 dismissals in T20 while after the last match Mahi has 74 dismissal. He took two catches and two stumpings to pass the ABD’s record.
